At the present time OLU handles a daily traffic volume of approximately 25,000 hits with an astonishing monthly bandwidth of four gigabytes (4000 Mg) of data transfer.  We are growing at an exponential rate.  

We have become without exaggeration, the most popular and most frequently visited educational website in the World dedicated to African spirituality and culture.  We have by far the highest number of members comparing to similar web forums or mailing lists and we have evolved to an unsurpassed level of quantity and quality of information on Ifa and Orisha.

In keeping up with the growing costs associated with running a website, your support remains essential for the current and future development of OLU.

Donations are the backbone of any organization. They allow for growth and indicate that members care about the place where they belong. 

First and foremost, we would like to ensure that OLU general membership and access to online services and resources are and will remain free.  The donations are made voluntarily and will be entirely up to you how much help you are willing to offer.  Donations to OLU can be made over the internet with a credit card through a secure website.  You may use the form below and choose to make a single donation or to become an Honorary Donor by subscribing to regular monthly donations in honor of your Orisha.  If you choose a donation subscription, the title of Honorary Donor will be added to your OLU profile and you will receive unlimited posting privileges in the OLU Resources Directory to post advertising and to announce upcoming events.

Over the years, OLU has become a place on the Internet where people turn to in search for other practitioners and resources such as potential godparents, books, arts, supplies or botanicas in their area.  OLU has helped literally thousands of Internet visitors from all parts of the world who came looking for information, and related products and services at all stages of their involvement with Ifa and Orisha practices.

OLU Resources Directory has become an integral interactive part of the website as well as a unique promotional opportunity for businesses from around the world.

At this time we are integrating the OLU Resources Category with the main OLU Discussion Board in order to streamline the commercial and advertising side of OLU as well as to give visitors easier access to the directory and to give greater exposure to advertisers.

This category serves to provide opportunities to those wishing to promote their products, services or events in the Ifa and Orisha religious community.  Starting with Current Events section, there is a total of 11 sections in the Directory.  They include Arts and Crafts, Books, Communities, Diviners, Local Stores, Music, Online Supplies, Personals, Websites, and Seeking Godparents.

With the exception of aleyos (novice or newcomers) seeking teachers and godparents, only approved advertisers will be able to use this service.  To promote your Ifa/Orisha related products, services or events, please follow the link to Advertiser Registration page and provide us with requested information.  This information will be kept confidential according to our Privacy Policy.  A small subscription fee will be charged with your application.  The annual fee of $10 will allow you unlimited posting in any one chosen category in the OLU Resources Directory, but the annual fee of $22 will allow you unlimited posting in the entire directory for one full year.  Upon receipt of your application and payment, the administrator will set up your posting permissions for the OLU Resources category.  Please allow two to three business days for the application and payment to go through.

In addition to donations and resources directory, OLU will be allowing sponsors to support OLU through highly efficient forms of commercial advertising such as rotating banners.

The integrity of the OLU Discussion Board and community oriented contents will remain the primary focus of this website.  This means that only small area of each web page on OLU may be designated for advertising materials.  For example a sponsor may place a banner by sponsoring a Category on the OLU Discussion board.  Our position is that we will allow advertising, but we will not solicit it.

Direct sponsorship will be offered primarily to businesses and individuals from our own communities.  Priority will be given to botanica stores, online book and music stores, diviners, or other services, which are sought after and offer significant benefit to members of our community.

Members can rest assured that ventures of objectionable nature will not be accepted as sponsors.

Money received from sponsors will be used to buy graphics, software and for other improvements for this site.  To discuss pricing and other conditions for banner advertising, please contact the administrator through our Contact Page.

In addition to direct sponsorship, OLU will participate in affiliate programs.  This means that affiliates pay commission to OLU when customers enter their sites from OLU.  All affiliate programs will be carefully reviewed, OLU will sign up only with the most established, reliable and relevant online business such as Amazon, African Imports, possibly we will add Ebay, and other companies that pose interest to our membership.

Affiliation with OLU does not affect your price when you do business on these websites.  We ask that you please connect to them through OLU banner links.  A small commission that OLU will collect on your purchases will be put directly into improving our website.
